Sectors
We have experience working across a range of sectors and our experience spans all land uses. We have worked on complicated large urban expansions and also regularly work on smaller bespoke sites. We are experienced in dealing both with mixed use developments and single land use schemes.
Residential
We work on residential sites of all scales from individual new homes through to medium sized sites of 50+ new homes and right up to complex urban extensions comprising hundreds of new properties. Whatever the type or scale of your site, it will benefit from our considered approach and assistance to address the challenges of planning policy requirements that you are likely to face. Please do get in touch with us - whatever the scale of your proposals.

Heritage & Listed Buildings
For Listed Buildings and sites of a high heritage value, a development's potential to impact the historic environment brings a raft of additional planning constraints that create additional challenges and responsibilities. However through careful planning and expert partnerships with specialist architects we can help you to secure the future of your historic building to meet your changing needs for the twenty-first century, whilst still enhancing and preserving what makes your building special and unique.
Agricultural, Equine & Rural Land Uses
We recognise the importance of rural landowners in stewarding our nation's countryside. We work with landowners seeking to make their land work for them, whilst nevertheless meeting the requirements of environmental protection. We have experience in helping farmers, the equine industry and other rural land owners to satisfy the particular planning obstacles often facing rural sites and thereby maximising opportunities on their land. We have a particular specialism in delivering planning permissions for new dwellings to house rural workers who need to live close to their place of work. We also have a proven track record in delivering built infrastructure for rural businesses.

Education, Health & Public Services
We have experience in delivering new and expanded facilities for educational establishments and medical services. Susanna has acted for both educational trusts and heathcare providers. We offer experience in both sectors, working on expansions of existing sites, delivering new facilities and in redeveloping existing sites to bring forward a new lease of life for the existing use.

Sometimes, however, it is necessary to redevelop redundent school sites (both private and LEA) or former healthcare facilities, when these are no longer required. Such propsoals can present particular planning policy challenges and opportunities.
We offer experience relevant to both sectors to deliver the redevelopment of such sites to new and acceptable uses.
Commerical
We offer experience across a range of businesses, including retail, hospitality, commercial, industrial and transport. Our experience relates to both urban and rural businesses of all sizes. Whether you are seeking new premises, need to extend or develop your existing ones or perhaps are looking to relocate to new premises which requires a change of use and/or building works, we can offer you our services.
At each stage we will provide you with clear advice and all necessary assistance to seek the right planning consents to meet the needs of your business.

Charities & Faith Groups
We have assisted many charities and churches to navigate the challenges of the planning system which frequently has an insufficient understanding of the needs of this sector and its buildings and land.
With considerable experience in advising Charitable Trustees about complicated high value heritage assets we are well placed to serve this specialist sector and have frequently advised non-conformist congregations who may have either an ageing traditional chapel building or more modern premises.
We have obtained planning permission for new church buildings, extensions to existing ones and refurbishment projects. We have also assisted other community charities in seeking to optimise the use and value of their buildings to secure the charity's longer term future.
